Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Moments (the “Service”), operated by Right Events(“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

1. Who can use Moments

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or a Moment. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account or device.

2. Creating Moments & honorees

Moments lets you create a celebration page for someone. If you create a Moment about another person, you confirm that:

• you have a good-faith basis to celebrate them and a lawful basis to use the name, photo, and any contact details you provide;
• the content is accurate and not intended to harass, impersonate, or embarrass; and
• you will promptly remove or correct it if they ask, or if we ask on their behalf.

Anyone featured in a Moment can ask us to edit or remove it — see Section 6.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you post (names, photos, messages, wishes). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating the Service. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or that sexualises or endangers a minor;
• impersonate someone, or post a person’s private information without permission;
• upload anything you don’t have the rights to, or that infringes intellectual property;
• send spam, or add a person’s contact details to notifications or reminders without their permission;
• attempt to break, overload, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to the Service; or
• bypass rate limits, moderation, or security measures.

5. Moderation & removal

Wishes are published immediately and scanned for harmful content; we may remove content or suspend access at our discretion, especially where it breaks these Terms. We may also remove content to comply with the law or a valid request. We are a host of user-generated content and don’t endorse what users post.

6. If a Moment is about you

If you are featured in a Moment and want it changed or taken down, use the “request removal” option on the page or email hello@rightevents.co. We will review and act on legitimate requests. See our Privacy Policy for your data rights.

7. Notifications & messages

The Service can send email and WhatsApp messages you (or a creator) request — celebration alerts, new-wish notifications, and reminders. Every such message is tied to a request, and you can opt out at any time. Do not sign other people up without their consent.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content posted by others is accurate or appropriate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Right Events will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for content posted by users. [Confirm any liability cap and consumer-law carve-outs with counsel.]

10. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these Terms or harms the Service or other people. You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account and data (see the Privacy Policy).

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. [Confirm governing law, jurisdiction, and any dispute-resolution clause with counsel.]
